TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER

Since the school envisions to develop practical and innovative solutions that will lead to higher productivity and improved quality of life through the I-DID IT! program, potentially successful innovations are shared and put into practice through Technology Transfer. The innovations developed at the school level are transferred to wider distribution among more people and places. Some students who have been exposed to the I-DID IT! program also developed entrepreneurial skills and undertook new start-up ventures with the useful products they have created, seeing it as an income-generating opportunity for themselves and for other people. The school assists the students in patenting their own inventions and innovations through the support of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) - Technological Application and Promotions Institute (TAPI), Philippines. Apart from the financial aspect of technology transfer, the school is also able to generously contribute to community development by openly sharing products and processes that will advance their quality of life. The technical knowledge and livelihood skills that are passed on to the community through information dissemination and outreach activities are actually based on the assessed needs of the citizens.
