10th Zayed Future Energy Prize -

Global High School (Top 4)

  By recognizing solutions and technologies that can change the world, the Zayed Future Energy Prize, managed by Masdar, in Abu Dhabi, has rewarded pioneering innovators and visionaries whose achievements have furthered the proliferation of renewable energy solutions.

         Over the past decade, the Prize has seen 66 winners positively impact the lives of over 307 million people.

      Since the launch of ASEAN integration in 2015, all Southeast Asian countries have positioned Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in the mainstream of education systems and setting it as a priority in their education agenda in view of the fact that this type of education plays an important role in the socio-economic development of a nation.

 National Winner of the 2017 Search for Sustainable and Eco-friendly School 

   The Environmental Management Bureau of DENR in cooperation with the Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and other government and private sector partners, conducted the search, in response to the ASEAN Environmental Education Action Plan for Sustainable Development for 2014-2018 where initiating active responses, increasing community awareness, and participation in environmental concerns were among the goals of the search.

Awarded at the Events Center of SM North EDSA, Quezon City on 21 November 2017.

Finalist for the 11th SEAMEO Search Young Scientist 2018

       The search for SEAMEO Search for Young Scientists (SSYS) is a gathering of young scientists all over Southeast Asia as a venue for sharing and dissemination of information on their scientific and mathematical research projects.

 

      SSYS was initiated in 1997; since then, it has been held one every two years with a specific theme. The congress was geared towards the attainment of the UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals.

Nestle Water Leadership Award 2017

       This award is aimed at recognizing and promoting water management solutions and practices of schools. The competition is a part of the Search for the Most Sustainable and Eco-friendly Schools, in direct response to Republic Act No. 9512 or the National Environmental Awareness and Education Act of 2008.
